Das bestätigte die britische Küstenwache nach entsprechenden Medienberichten. Derzeit laufe eine groß angelegte Rettungsaktion, hieß es weiter. Demnach seien mehrere Rettungsboote und ein Rettungshubschrauber zur Unglücksstelle entsendet worden. Auch ein Flugzeug der Küstenwache und in der Nähe gelegene Schiffe mit Löschkapazität sind auf dem Weg zum brennenden Tanker.
